Annual General Meeting 2013
1st November 2013Our Annual General Meeting at the Mount Sorrel Hotel in Barry was a great success attended by over 70 people. Margaret Wilkinson, Mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan, opened the day with a rousing speech in support of Vale People First and the work done by the members and volunteers.
There were presentations given by all the project groups, some of whom had prepared role plays, which entertained whilst still packing a punchy message. Highlights of the day were a "speed dating" session and a hilarious game of "Blind Date"-a big thank you to all who joined in and were such good sports.
After a delicious buffet lunch Jane Hutt, Assembly Member for the Vale of Glamorgan, gave a warm speech congratulating us on our widening range of projects and reminding all that next year is our 10 year anniversary! The day ended with tea, cake and a disco provided by DJ "Gonzo"! Thanks to everyone for their hard work and to the members and guests who came to celebrate with us.To see the photos click here.
