About the Deja vu Project
Heritage Lottery Fund
In March 2019 Vale People 1st were awarded a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund for a new project that is called Déjà vu in the Vale – Young people Unearthing their Heritage Project.
Déjà vu is a team of young people with learning disabilities who are researching the history of Barry in this two year project.
The team will be working alongside the Glamorgan Archives to discover the exciting items that tell the story of how Barry grew into such a large town.
When the research is complete, the team will be displaying their hard work in a fantastic exhibition which will be held at the Memorial Hall before moving to the Glamorgan Archives.
There will also be a few treats at the launch such as a drama performance and a song!
