Why Us
We support each other, speak up, and make sure our voices are heard.
Holistic approach
We make sure people with learning disabilities can join activities, make friends, and feel included.
Support independance
Support people to be more independent and take part in society.
Raise awareness
We raise awareness about disabilities in the community.
Mens group
The men’s group is led by members with additional needs. They choose activities like crafting, talking about hobbies, and learning about men’s health. It’s a friendly space to share, learn, and have fun together.
Arts and crafts group
Our Arts and Crafts group is a fun, creative space where everyone can enjoy making something special. No experience is needed – just bring your imagination! It’s a great place to relax, make friends, and try something new.
Gender first
The Gender First group is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. We explore how men’s and women’s roles have changed over time. The group includes hands-on activities, guest speakers, and sensory experiences to make learning fun and engaging.
Speakup
The youth group is for ages 16-25. We speak up about things that matter to us. Right now, we’re working on climate change. It’s a fun space to make friends, enjoy sensory activities, and hear from speakers.
Social evening
Social Night is a fun evening with friends. Enjoy a tasty two-course meal, music, dancing, and karaoke. It’s a great place to relax, have fun, and make happy memories.
Gardening group
The gardening group looks after the gardens at The Bridge Between. We grow vegetables and plants and learn about the different creatures that live in the garden. It’s a great way to enjoy nature, get hands-on, and have fun outdoors.
Active communities
Active Communities is a fun social group. We enjoy crafts, quizzes, games, and guest speakers. It’s a great way to meet people, try new activities, and have a good time together.
Bluebell
The Bluebell Group is for adults with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and their parents and carers. We enjoy sensory activities and themed days like Easter. It’s a welcoming space to have fun, relax, and connect with others.
